cBoxBid.com starts 2010 with 22 new RFQs, expanded national footprint.

cBoxBid.com, the online marketplace for corrugated packaging, has added 22 new RFQs (requests for quote) for immediate pricing. The RFQs come from buyers in the southeast, midwest, and deep south. “Our footprint is expanding,” says cBoxBid.com Founder/President Marc Deye. “More and more companies are turning to us to help them maximize the value they get on packaging, and more and more manufacturers are turning to us for live, immediately actionable sales leads. The new RFQs have January deadlines, so we’re expecting a busy month.”

Industry segments currently accepting pricing for packaging on cBoxBid.com include food, industrial, auto parts, office supplies, and beverages.

RFQs posted on cBoxBid.com are posted in such a way buyers aren't inundated with emails or phone calls but buyers can contact manufacturers at any time through the site. “Our anonymous model benefits both the buyers and manufacturers,” says Deye. “It gives buyers better control over their time and gives manufacturers access to buyers they might not otherwise be able to talk to. It’s much more efficient than the typical sales process in the corrugated industry.”

To access and bid on the active RFQs, corrugated buyers simply complete a three-step signup process. Manufacturers follow the same process. Currently, there is no cost to either manufacturers or buyers.
